June 11 Special Event: Intensive Training on Hottest Topics

The New York Metropolitan Chapter of ISSA (NYMISSA) is featuring an intensive one-day “mini-boot camp” Conference & Exhibition on June 11th. The content will focus on several topics of the Common Body of Knowledge required of all CISSPs and several case studies. Conference attendees will receive two intensive training sessions, each lasting at least three hours. Lunch and breaks are offered in addition to the training. You can select the following topics:

  • Session 1 – Security Architecture and Application Security. Case study on virtualization.
    This workshop will cover trends in applying security to system architecture at all seven layers of the OSI. It will include: exploits from SQL injection; buffer overflows and memory exposures in applications; cross-site scripting; compartmentalization strategies and application vulnerabilities (including references to OWASP).
  • Session 2 – Security Laws, Regulation and Compliance. Case study on Payment Card Industry (PCI) safeguards.
    This training will cover: trends in cyber law; privacy laws and regulations; international trends; intellectual property protection; contracted security; and PCI.

Fees:
NYMISSA Chapter Members – Earlybird registration of $295 extended until May 12th; registration fees will be $375 after that date.
Non-members – Earlybird registration of $395 extended until May 12th; registration fees will be $475 after that date.

Prices include morning and afternoon breaks and lunch.
